| Message To Voters |
| ELECTIONS need to be about ISSUES, NOT POLITICS. |
CAMPAIGNS need to be about
CANDIDATES connecting, listening and talking with VOTERS. |
|
| After coming within 627 votes of winning in 2006, I am running again because I believe that Tallahassee needs legislators with common sense, integrity and a willingness to serve their constituents. |
|
I believe in election reform and I am dedicated to getting the money and special interests out of politics. As Congresswoman Shirley Chisholm took pride in being "unbought and unbossed" , I share the same value. I grab every opportunity to get out and talk to and listen to voters. I spend my time focusing on voters, not donors. I shocked the politicos in 2006 relying on grassroots campaigning and not money. With your support, I will win in 2008 and bring our values to Tallahassee . |

| Rick Ford - Panelist - Health Care Forum |
In June, I was honored to join a forum on health care solutions for Florida. I presented the case for making health care a right not a privilege. I spoke of the need for establishing a single payer “Medicare for All” Health system as proposed by Cong. John Conyers in his bill, HR 676, The United State National Health Insurance Act, which would create a system that makes health care accessible and affordable for everyone. read more >>

| "The future does not belong to those who are content with today, apathetic toward common problems and their fellow man alike, timid and fearful in the face of bold projects and new ideas. Rather, it will belong to those who can blend passion, reason and courage in a personal commitment to the great enterprises and ideals of American society." Robert F. Kennedy, Address, University of California at Berkeley, October 22, 1966. |
